TSC Processing dates - updated January 23. 2009

I-140 dates have moved and this time, for a change, we do think that the dates reflect reality for the most part. But the discrepancy between TSC and NSC remains and the wait continues to be around 15 months - way too much in my opinion. I-140 processing dates at NSC are at August 17, 2007 whereas at TSC, it’s January 8, 2008. That’s a difference of almost 5 months.

During a recent discussion with a friend, he was mentioning that his PERM application is now over 90 days in processing and now labor approvals are taking anywhere from 90-150 days. In 2007 and early 2008, it used to take only around 30 days and that was a huge relief for everyone entering the green card process. Sounds like that is a thing of the past now. Any way you look at it, at the end of the day, the wait time appears to remain the same. Any days that are saved in the I-140 processing time are probably now getting added on to the PERM processing time.
