USCIS NSC TSC Processing Time Page Verbiage Changes

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/Processtimes.jsp?SeviceCenter=TSC (Texas Service Center Processing dates)
These are pages thousands of legal immigratnts visit on a daily basis to watch the progress on USCIS processing of cases, including theirs.
One of our friends - fentanev, made an interesting observation today.
Usually, this page said “the processing dates shown below represent the receipt dates of petitions and applications that have been completed by the USCIS field office.” Or something on those lines….
It now says - the processing dates shown below represent the receipt dates of petitions and applications that currently being processed by the USCIS field office.
If that is true (I can’t tell for sure, it would be good to get some validation from one of our readers as well), this can be pretty huge. Because a March 30, 2007 Receipt date application is “currently being processed” does not mean that a March 10, 2007 application has been completed. So the date becomes even more ambiguous. To sceptics and frustrated waiters, this can come across as a deceptive technique to mask real processing dates.

Ok, do you think we can act legally against USCIS because the change on the processong description they made last month?

I doubt that. Since USCIS owns the page and the dates are meant only as a “guideline”, they can get away with it. Even if we were to act legally, the best that can happen is that they might be asked by law to change it back to the way it was, but I don’t think we’ll get much more than that. But I am not an attorney and have very little legal experience, so may be a lawyer can help us in understanding this better.
