My Letter to AILA
Respected AILA Attorneys and Officers:
As you are aware, the USCIS has delayed processing I-140 applications, especially for EB3 filers from NSC? We’ve been waiting 18 months and cannot switch jobs because AC21 requires an approved I-140. Recently, reputed Immigration Attorney reported that they are processing the I-140’s that are not affected by retrogression, which confirms our analysis based on the immigration tracker at http://www.trackitt.com. To me, this is harassment. They either need to relax AC21 rules urgently or process the I-140’s soon. I speak for more than 250 people have voted on this issue at http://www.endlesswait.com/i140/eb3-i140-delay/. Is there anything that can be done?
I and several others have written to our Congresspersons and even the USCIS Ombudsman about this. See the comments on the USCIS Director’s blog
http://www.dhs.gov/journal/leadership/2008/09/citizenship-day-opportunity-to-reflect.htmlI have a sincere request, on behalf of over 100,000 immigrants waiting for their I-140’s to be adjudicated. Can you add an “Approve I-140’s and Free Immigrants!” letter at http://capwiz.com/aila2/issues/?style=D&?
Your help is greatly appreciated. I really hope that the AILA can help us in this time of need.
I hope I will hear from them.

Today I received an e-mail from my congressman:
TSC contacted me about your case, they wrote : “Peggy (congressman aide) we have request to pull the file and worked it out”
As soon as I receive new information, I will let you know.
So far, so good, He’s working on, I don’t know why TSC sent the e-mail while the file is at NSC but something is moving on. I’ll keep you all posted.

I never heard from them in over 2 months though. Guess nobody, not even the AILA, has time for immigrant concerns. All I wanted was a response saying yes or no. It’s hard to be optimistic when this is the state of immigration affairs..
