I guess it takes a while to get indexed by Google & Murthy Forum Quirks
The site has been up for 3 days now and the only people that have visited the site are my own friends and family that I emailed the URL to :). I was hoping to get a better response from the general immigrant community. Obviously 4 votes are not going to make any impact on getting noticed by the people that can actually do something about the processing delay.
I am hoping that once the website gets indexed by Google, Yahoo and MSN search engines, there will be some people coming in that way. Another really weird thing. I love the the Murthy.com forum which is so good and I am big fan of it for the amazing information that’s in it, but they don’t allow any links to be posted in the forum threads! What a shame. I assume they do that to not allow other attorneys/paralegals to post links to their websites or discourage marketers/spammers. But hey, they are heavily moderated, and not everyone is out there to spam them. And honestly, they are so popular that even if some people were to try and sneak in a product or marketing link, it’s not even going to make a dent in their revenues or to their reputation. Being an immigration law firm that fights for more freedom for immigrants, I actually feel like this is a typical example of how they are going against that very principle by taking some of our freedom to post away from us. They could easily assign moderators from the general forum community that are respected in the forums and that way, limit their own administrative overhead while allowing forum members to collaborate effectively (post links, show posts immediately without waiting for them to get moderated each and every time). But well, the world does not always work the way we want it to. In the meantime, I am hoping that somehow the word will spread about the processing delay and somehow change will happen.
If you are affected by the current I-140 or I-485 processing delay, and want to help yourselves and others, please vote or comment on this post - I-140 Processing delay.
