H1B Cap moves backwards!
The H1B cap moved back from 45,800 ton May 29, 2009 o 44,400 as of June 5, 2009. Huh?
Does that mean some people that filed their applications withdrew them? Is that even possible?
Does that mean USCIS rejected some applications as problem filings? But even if they did that, do those not count towards the cap?
Or is it another mysterious USCIS reporting like the many we’ve reported in this blog in the past? July 2007 cutoff dates, May 2009 EB-2 retrogression, I-140 taking 2 years to approve, green card printing taking 6 months…the list goes on…

I’m brand new to this blog and I just want to start off my saying that this is just what I was looking for. I’ve been staring at Murthy.com, trackitt.com, immivoice.org etc etc for the last few months, trying to keep up with everything related to the GC (while in actuality, I was hoping to catch some breaking news about all dates being current or something :-))
Anyway, I think a few H1B petitions were withdrawn by petitioners like when they received a RFE and didn’t want to go thro’ that pain, they simply withdraw the petition.
I’ll be stopping by this blog from time and time and maybe share my two cents once in a while.
Thanks guys!
