About
They call the United States “the land of immigrants”. The initial group of immigrants faced several hardships - from the brutal ships on which they came in to poverty and slavery, before they established themselves in this country. Hundreds of years later, today’s immigrants, though not faced with the same hardships, go through their own share of misery dealing with the cryptic and often unreasonable rules and regulation that the Department of Labor and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services impose on them.
Endlesswait.com was created by a group of aspiring legal immigrants living in the United States who believe that only action brings results. Several online discussion forums are filled with frustrated immigrants discussing their cases with fellow immigrants, however, these conversations are never seen by the ones who make immigration-related decisions. Our goal is to make a larger audience aware of the current situation by means of online blog posts and polls and facilitate immigration reform. This site is not about the founders, it’s about immigrants, the ones that are in the long line today and the millions that will end up standing there in the future. Welcome aboard.

I am EB3 skilled Canadian IT professional who has an ugly priority date. I have been here for 12 years, pay my taxes, participate in Political action groups and generally contribute to my community in a positive way.
The current state of immigrant makes me sick.

Who is ‘they’? Americans certainly don’t call it that. What you mean is 3rd world delusional grifters who are unemployable and see America as a pot of gold call it that.
Now go home and stop ruining America.
And while you are at it read Title 8, Section 1182 of U.S. Federal law. You know - the one entitled “INADMISSABLE ALIENS”.
If one qualified American is out of work, you’re ALL illegals.

Shane, I feel for you. Almost everyone that participates in this blog has been waiting anywhere between 5 to 20 years. It’s insane!
James, you are certainly welcome to your opinion. This is the birth place of capitalism. And you and I both know that an open mind to embrace talent and workforce is needed to move the world economy in the right direction. And guess who benefits? American companies do, which in turn benefits the 91% of Americans that ARE employed and their families. If you turned immigration off, US would be a LOT more worse off than they are right now.

James,
You have no business putting your uneducated, redneck, racist comments in this forum.Did you pass out of high school ? or you just celebrate passing out of kindergarten ? Do you know that Canada is a different country or you think it is just another state ?
Do you atleast know how many states there are in the US ?
You are nothing but a frog in a well..live with that

james,
ur computer is made in china by a guy you would name yinyang and your friend john doe who is relatively less educated than most skilled immigrants and who is without a job is wearing affordable cloth made in mexico and living off food stamps.
if yinyang was admitted to the US through a “facilitated” skilled worker program, john doe would be a janitor in his company. 6 months later, yinyang gets his green card and opens his own microprocessors company and takes john with him and promotes him to head of security. if this happened, ur computer would be made in the USA and john would be wearing expensive cloth made in factories in the carolinas, not in mexico

james, the thing you are referring to
“there are not sufficient workers who are able, willing, qualified (or equally qualified in the case of an alien described in clause (ii)) and available at the time of application for a visa and admission to the United States and at the place where the alien is to perform such skilled or unskilled labor, and ”
specifies/applies to/requires that:
.ONLY working class immigrants (seasonal?, h1b…)
.does not apply to O1 (superskilled, wayyy unlike john doe)
.does not apply to family sponsored immigration (parents, wife…)
.john doe must be WILLING (not sitting on his rear end)
.john doe must be equally qualified (looking at ur comments, I doubt your friend would be equally qualified since he only speaks english and has no global or multicultural exposure, a requirement for many jobs in public relations, restaurants…)
.and must be present “at the time” and “at the place where the alien is to perform” the work
I imagine John Doe living in a small camper without electricity, heating or cooling and on food stamps.
and I imagine you as an enslaved burger flipper and part timer at some food chain corporation, trying hard to pay your credit card minimum monthly payment (barely) and have some aside to buy herbs to get wasted and yet, your employer is taking a part of your wages as a tax witholding, and this money will end up as food stamps for john doe, all because he is not Willing and you are Not equally qualified.
So stop complaining and blaming 3rd world countries for your misery. If it wasn’t for 3rd world countries offering cheap alternatives, you wouldn’t be able to afford the pants you are wearing or the computer you are using.

I dont think illegal immigrants or those immigrants on a green card should be permitted to own and run a business in America.

Their status should be made public
