Filipinos wait 22 years to get Green Card

Well written detailed account by a Filipino News source…Why it takes forever to get a US Visa?
Except for spouses, parents and minor children of US citizens, all other petitions are subject to numerical limit. The Immigration Act of 1965 established the first-come, first-served basis of issuing visas, and set the numerical limitations on the number [...]

The backlog is now 18 months. That’s over 100,000 people waiting in line for over 18 months without the ability to switch their jobs even [...]

Why are we doing this?

I’ve been asked about the purpose of this website. When there are several other lobbyist groups with years of experience and useful connections with the Congress, what impact is this little Blog site going to make in the big bad world of US Legal immigration?
My answer to that is that this site does not intend [...]

One NSC EB3 I-140 approved today

http://www.trackitt.com/discuss/140/24651921/
The applicant’s labor filing date was in 2002. More reason to believe that NSC is processing I-140’s in the order of priority date. But that isn’t how it’s supposed to be, is it? I always thought it was supposed to by by I-140 Receipt date. Any thoughts?

Estimated unused visa numbers since 1990 - 500,000!!

Immigrants are waiting in line to get their visas for over 7 years, and guess what, the USCIS is busy wasting visa numbers. According to lobbyist website politico.com,
Immigration is also on the community’s radar. Tech companies and others have been pushing legislation to allow the federal government to roll over unused green cards from year [...]

What do you think about Endlesswait.com?

The site has seen a few hundred visits in less than a week since the launch. Six of us have joined hands to write about our thoughts on immigration issues here. As we move forward to make this a successful negotiation tool for lobbyists that speak with the Congress and the USCIS, please take a [...]

USCIS NSC & TSC differences - How does this make any sense?

NSC (Nebraska Service Center) and TSC (Texas Service Center) are two branches of the USCIS. To the lay immigrant, they pretty much perform the same duties in two different states. Even if there are differences, as long as the two process the SAME form for 2 different sets of applicants, does it not make sense [...]

These are pages thousands of legal immigratnts visit on a daily basis to watch the progress on USCIS processing of cases, including theirs.
One of our friends - fentanev, made an interesting observation today.
Usually, this page said “the processing dates shown below represent the receipt dates [...]

I guess it takes a while to get indexed by Google & Murthy Forum Quirks

The site has been up for 3 days now and the only people that have visited the site are my own friends and family that I emailed the URL to :). I was hoping to get a better response from the general immigrant community. Obviously 4 votes are not going to make any impact on [...]

Write Your Congressperson regarding the I-140 Processing delay

Several people that are facing the I-140 processing delay have wanted to know more about how to contribute. Some have been sceptical about this effort going nowhere. The best way to move this forward for yourself and for everyone else is to contact the right people in your jurisdiction that have a say in national [...]
